Biography

Dr. Asmat completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology in March 2017 from the Institute of Clinical Psychology, University of Karachi. Currently she is working as an Associate Professor at Department of Psychology Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, University of Central Punjab Lahore, Pakistan. She is experienced Clinical Psychologist with years of experience. Dr Alia is teaching Psych diagnosis Child and Adult to the MS Clinical Psychology students since 2014 and teaching Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Rehabilitation in Addiction and Supervising Clinical Placement (Child, Adult and Drug Rehabilitation) to students (MS & PhD Clinical Psychology) since 2019.

She has organized two successful International Conferences:

1. Global Conference on Psychopathology and Rehabilitation (GCPR-24): This event, titled "Wellness: Our Shared Responsibility," will take place on June 26-27, 2024, at the University of Central Punjab, Lahore. It is organized in collaboration with Fountain House, Lahore, Bank of Punjab, Psych Consultants Fairway Clinic, and Cell Laboratories.
2. International Conference on Substance Use Disorders (ICSUD-2022): Held on March 30-31, 2022, at the University of Central Punjab, Lahore, in collaboration with the Phoenix Foundation of Research & Development, Lahore.

In addition to her organizational accomplishments, Dr. Asmat has presented at various national and international conferences and has published 23 research papers in high-ranking journals.
