Biography

Dr. Mohammad Arif Kamal is an Associate Professor in the Architecture Section at Aligarh Muslim University, India. He is a prolific researcher with an h-index of 10 and 414 citations, the highest in Architecture in India. Dr. Kamal's research interests include Environmental Design, Sustainable Architecture, Building Technology, Climatic Design of Buildings, Heritage Architecture, and Interior Design.

He completed his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Climate Responsive Traditional Architecture from the Department of Architecture & Planning, IIT Roorkee, with a thesis titled "Energy Responsiveness in Traditional Residential Buildings of Lucknow" in November 2007. Dr. Kamal also holds a Master of Architecture (M. Arch.) from the same institute, specializing in Architectural Design, Urban Design, Housing, and Low-Cost Buildings, among others. His thesis focused on "Design Guidelines for Signage in Urban Environment." He obtained his Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch.) from the Department of Architecture, Aligarh Muslim University, with a thesis titled "Seawoods Integrated Station Complex at Navi Mumbai."
