Biography
Prof Farnad Imani, MD FIPP EDPM is currently Chair of Pain Research Center in Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS), with about thirty years' experience in academic postgraduate teaching in anesthesiology and pain medicine.
He is founder and past president of the Iran Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ISRAPM) at 2007. Also, he has conducted several workshops on interventional pain procedures, and invited speaker for several international congresses.
Prof Imani is founder of academic pain fellowship in Iran at 2006. His research interest includes chronic and acute pain managements, and has a special interest in the percutaneous, endoscopic, and minimal invasive procedures for spinal pain. He is founder and past Editor in Chief of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine journal from 2011-2022.
