Biography
Prof. Hossein Pakdaman is a distinguished neurologist who completed his neurology residency at the Pennsylvania University School of Medicine and the Henry Ford Medical Center in 1977. He has been a prominent figure in the field of neurology, contributing significantly to medical education and research in Iran. In 1978,
Prof. Pakdaman commenced his tenure at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, where he has made substantial contributions to the field of neurology. His dedication to medical education led to his appointment as the deputy of medical education at Shahid Beheshti University in 1980.
Throughout his career, Prof. Pakdaman has held several key positions, including director of the Iranian Neurological Board Examination and President of the Iranian Neurological Association. Prof. Pakdaman's impact extends beyond his administrative roles, as evidenced by his extensive publications and academic contributions. He has authored over 120 articles and five neurological books, solidifying his reputation as a leading authority in neurology.
Furthermore, he has played a pivotal role in advancing the field through his involvement in organizing and chairing over 120 local and international congresses. Notably, Prof. Pakdaman serves as the Chairman of the "Current Journal of Neurology," an esteemed Iranian neurological journal with ISI credit.
