Biography

Jaime R. Torres is a MD and Public Health Specialist with expertise in Infectious Diseases, Tropical Medicine, Emerging Infections, Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases. Known for his multiple publications in the areas of arboviruses, malaria, mycobacterial infections, hepatitis b, and travel medicine, as well as his role as Moderator of ProMED-esp, Jaime R. Torres  is dedicated to  clinical and epidemiological research, teaching and medical practice. With a  specialty in Infectious Diseases and a Master degree  in  Public Health and Tropical Medicine  from  Louisiana State University and Tulane University,  Jaime R. Torres  continues to excel in  clinical and epidemiological research, and the practice of Infectious Diseases specialty, and Achievements.
