Biography

Dr. Mohammad Zubair earned his Doctorate in 2012 from Aligarh Muslim University and completed his PDF at the Centre for Diabetes & Endocrinology there. He joined Department of Medical Microbiology as Assistant professor in 2015 and in 2021 promoted to Associate Professor.

His work focuses on infections in diabetic foot patients, including the Extended Spectrum Beta-Lactamase gene (CTX, TEM & SHV), pro and anti-inflammatory cytokines, healing proteins, and anti-biofil and andti microbial effect of green synthesize nanoparticles against MDR. He received the "Marvil Levin" Best Research Award from the American Diabetes Association (ADA) in 2012 and was honoured with the Scientist of the Year award by NESA, New Delhi, and the Young Faculty Award by the Venus International Foundation in 2016. He also received the Best Research Award from the Integrated Brain Research Centre (IBRC) in 2012.

He has published over 60 research articles in international journals, he has authored two books and 12 book chapters published by Elsevier, Nature, and Springer. He has completed four major research projects and oversees four ongoing grants totaling 1.3 million Saudi Riyal. He also contributed to the special lab development fund team for two RDIA projects, each worth 4.3 million Saudi Riyal
