Vuanghao Lim
Biography
Dr. Vuanghao Lim is an Associate Professor at Advanced Medical and Dental Institute, Universiti Sains Malaysia with extensive expertise in nano-formulations for cosmeceuticals and nutraceuticals, metabolomics-based drug discovery from natural products, and the development of modified disulfide nano-biopolymers for colon-targeted drug delivery. Renowned for his innovative contributions to bioactive compound research, advanced drug delivery systems, and the green synthesis of nanoparticles, Dr. Lim is dedicated to pioneering sustainable pharmaceutical solutions that address global health challenges.
Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Lim has taken on numerous leadership and advisory roles. He has served as a Visiting Professor at Xinxiang Medical University in China and as a Research Advisor at Singapore's Nan Yang Academy of Sciences, where he fostered international collaboration and mentored the next generation of researchers. He has also been a Visiting Scholar at the University of North Texas, a Visiting Academic at The University of Queensland in Australia, and a Visiting Scientist at Singapore University of Technology and Design. Further expanding his influence, Dr. Lim has held visiting positions at prestigious institutions, including Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan, Mahasarakham University in Thailand, and Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember in Indonesia. He was also appointed Adjunct Professor at Universitas Airlangga in 2024.
Dr. Lim's dedication to community engagement and scientific excellence has earned him numerous accolades, including recognition as a 2017 Fellow of the Community Solutions Program at the Botanical Research Institute of Texas. In 2024, he was commemorated as one of the World's Top 2% Scientists, a testament to his significant contributions to research.
